Crazy cat lady, animal and plant lover

Hello,

Thank you for looking at my profile. I moved to Cologne in August 2022 due to my husband's job (he's German) and before that, we lived together in Ireland for 10 years. I joined Cat in a Flat in November 2016 as a hobby/part-time activity. I have also met some fantastic petsitters here who looked after my cats when I was on holiday. I do home visits with flexible times during the day and early evening, in the area around where I live, basically Neumarkt/ Heumarkt/ Ehrenstr. I speak fluent English and understand German when spoken slowly (I studied for several years but am still learning, starting level B2.1). My mother tongue is Portuguese.

I help you keep your cat healthy and safe and your space civilized. I send you updates on all my visits.

Having lived with cats for many years, I'm very interested in their behaviour and have read a lot about their needs and natural habits. When I pet sit for your cat, I keep them entertained and respect your cat if he/she is like my semi-feral girl, not very cuddly at all. I always take the pet guardians’ instructions and routines to heart. I love to observe each pet, not only for their species and/or breed characteristics but also for their unique life stories and personalities. Each pet sitting is a moment of great joy and mindfulness for me, an opportunity to learn more about each individual. I'm also a plant lover and had a large indoor collection in the past, some considered exotic). If you are on holiday and need help with indoor plants you can count on me, just let me know what kind of care you specifically need. If you have an outdoor garden and it's summer, I can also help, just give me the specific instructions first. We also had 3 nano aquariums with tetras, bettas & small shrimps. If you need me to feed your aquatic friends, I will be very happy to do so.
